Welcome!

Zongs come in a few different flavours, so a photo of your bike would be very helpful.

Welcome from me as well!
If you own a Sierra you've come to the right place, Spudrider is nothing short of a Zongshen guru! Here's a link to a bunch of tech articles on mods he has done to his Zong

Welcome; we are glad you joined us! Is your bike a Zongshen 200GY-2, as shown in the photograph below?

Or, is you bike a Zongshen 200GY-A, as shown in the photograph below?

Welcome to The Cult of The Zong, fellow Zongite! You are going to enjoy your Zongshen 200GY-2 motorcycle. MICRider gave you the link to the Zong Sticky which I maintain in the Dual Sport Forum.

http://chinariders.net/modules.php?n...ewtopic&t=8673

If you maintain your Zong well, it will keep running for a very long time, indeed. I currently have 52,560 miles on my Zong's odometer.

You're welcome. You came to the right place.

If you have time, please post some photographs of your Zong. We love photos!

How many miles are on the bike's odometer? I suggest you change the engine oil, and check the valve lash on your Zong. If you change the engine oil every 1,000 miles, and check the valve lash periodically, you will doing the most important maintenance tasks to keep your engine healthy. Here are links to two threads detailing those procedures.

FastDoc provided a good link describing how to post photographs on these forums. Your bike is barely broken in. Now is a very good time to change the engine oil; perhaps the previous owner did not change it. Checking the valve lash only takes 15 minutes after you learn the procedure. If the valves need adjusted, it only takes another 15 minutes. Make sure the piston is located at top dead center (TDC) on the compression stroke before you check the valve lash. Both valves will be tight at TDC on the exhaust stroke, which is the wrong location. Both valves will be loose at TDC on the compression stroke, which is the correct place to adjust the valve lash.
