I'm a traitor!
I went a bought a 2005 Yamaha XT225. Thanks for all of the help and encouragement I got here. My son still has a Chinese quad and we may get him a TaoTao in the future. So I'll check in from time to time.

Very nice. Feel free to post all about in the "Other Stuff" forum. Many members have other bikes that are not Chinese and share about them there.

I'd grab an XT if I had the chance. I'm a happy TW owner right now.
X2 on pics in the Other Stuff forum.

I became a traitor quick. I like to pull a wrench but not when it means 1 hour ride equals 2 hours wrench work so I defected to a quad I barely ever need to put a wrench too.
Hey the chinese atv's got me into the sport and my youngest boy still rides one of the original two. They are an awesome starting point and in some areas (Less rugged than where we are) they are all you need. Great transportation in countries that allow you to license them too. Way cheaper than a car with better mileage. So you are not a traitor, just lazy and not wanting to work on your ride, you would rather spend that time out riding it. LOL It is a matter of time priorities for me.

Congratulations! The XT225 is one of the all-time, great, dual sport motorcycles.

Alot of us used a Chinese ride to get started and then discovered something we liked.
Fortunately I did not have alot of repairs on my lifan. I had alot of fun riding it and learned alot too. Unless I find another used(dirt cheap) Chinese bike, I will probably find a honda or yamaha to ride next.

Despite having a few of the "big four", I still have China atv's. I'll likely buy another China bike if the price is right, as well.

I've not owned a CB in a while, but I am always on the hunt for a local bargin.
On the other hand I'm sorta saving my 'extra' $ for maybe a Husky or a KTM or a 'Berg.
