Georgia registration

Hey everyone, I'm headed back to Benning at the beginning of the year and was wondering if anyone on here has a hawk 250 and had it registered. I read through a forum on here and he was able to get it done, just seeing of anyone else in that area has any input.

Rabun county was very easy, sherrif just checked the VIN and signed it off

Thanks for the input guys! I will actually be staying on the Alabama side now and from what I have found there's really no issues! I am still going to get the Vin plate made though to be safe.

Welcome to the forum, Kieth! When were you thinking about picking the Hawk up? I'm a quick (ok, on a 250 maybe not so quick

) ride up GA-27 from Benning. I do some work there from time to time. Look me up when you get the bike and I'll be happy to be an extra pair of hands while you're knocking it together, or a riding buddy if you want to go out for a burger somewhere. Also, please post about where you decide to buy, the experience and support you get from that vendor, and your assembly and first impressions. We would also like to hear if you have smooth sailing through the tag process as well. Keep us posted!

Keep us updated on how it goes. Seems some counties are a breeze and others a PITA.

Hopefully by the end of January it will be on the way to the house! I will post all the experiences I have throughout the buying and registering process to help, hopefully it all goes smooth.. As soon as it's all complete I will be glad to get together for a ride!
