Hawk 250 in OD
Plastics started getting scuffed up after a few trail rides, and I decided to paint them. Just sanded, primed, and painted with some Krylon. I also left off the plastic around the headlight, and just mounted the lamp.
I think I'll need to strip the skid plate and powder coat it black, not sure if I want to tear apart the front wheel and do it as well! ![]() |

What pack is that on the back of your bike? It looks like a pouch from a USMC ILBE rucksack. |

I believe he said that's the CSC TT250 skid plate.

Thanks, actually planning on heading to a local DMV again, this branch in particular has a reputation for having their sh** together, so hopefully my luck is better. If not, I'm going to try the South Dakota route! Yep, thought about making my own, but very happy with the quality of the CSC plate. |

It's steep, but it's beefy and well made. I made a thread on powder coating it when I first got it here:

http://wr250rforum.forumotion.com/t9...te-recipe-4-99 HDPE is tough stuff and will flex back to shape if hit hard. I would think it would work darn well if attached to the frame properly. |

Chris, your bike has exactly the look I'm tempted to try.

It may not be a fast bike, but at least it looks cool! |

Any sign of wear on the paint?

There is some wear on the underside of the front fender where it's catching dirt/rocks, I touched it up with several more layers of paint, but I imagine it's simply a matter of time.
I'm still up in the air about it, the green/black/red color scheme is actually growing on me. |
