New Project Quad... HELP
LOL... I was given this quad in Sept. 2016. First I put in fuel and it leaked out the overflow on the carb bowl. I pulled the carb and cleaned it up best I could...
Still leaks, but hey, I don't even know what this machine is! So back to the beginning, a friend gave me this quad he got for construction services, it sat in his yard for years. Last he knew, it ran. Since Sept. I've been through many surgeries etc. which kept me from paying any attention to it, and nobody is interested in hearing about all that, lol. So, I've searched all the numbers I could find on this unlabeled machine and came up with nothing! I'm loving the posts on this forum so I'm not leaving even if nobody can help. I'll post some pics here though and hopefully someone has a little info on this particular machine. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Hoping the images inspire someone to say, oh that's a GIO Beast 200 or something... Thanks for reading and looking anyways! Dakados |

I'm also curious... When I got this unit, all the wheel-rim valves were cut off... Is there a reason for this or was someone just being a dick?
I mean, really the tires only max 10lbs so it's not like it matters. So, on Wish.com I found a complete harness including CDI and Coil, for a 200+ or a 50-150cc, I don't care which this is, except to get it wired properly. Carb same thing. I can get a carb but I need to at least know cc |

My plan ultimately is to pretty much change the entire machine.... Rear swing with Uni-ISS, full lighting system for road use, custom twin electric Superchargers, naturally fed from a much stronger stator or implanted generator/alternator.
I know right?! This old beat up thingy... It has gone nowhere. lol It has had the pleasure of sitting and rusting |

Gio beast
HELLO.....ok.. this is a GIO beast..... for the carb leak... your float needle is no good ... not seating,,, overflowing... you should really put a new MUKINI carb on it.. works and runs a lot better... this will help on the over flow problem.... does it have spark..??? turn over?? no cracks broken frame?? for the valve stems... put new ones on.. the other rotted away and broke... see if the tires then hold air... you can put tubes in the rubber tires if there is anySMALL LEAKS,,,, let us know... do not put big lights on... they will burn out the stator... use led lights..

I tried carefully polishing all the needles, but the seals are toast. It has some electrical contact issues but, like I said I will be replacing the entire harness. I was going to just purchase a new CDI and Coil (cause there's no spark), but saw there's entire harnesses with all electrical parts for a decent price. I've worked on bikes, quads, sleds, etc.. My speciality is auto, but I've been in the service business a great long while. Thanks again for the reply! Knowing for sure it's a Gio Beast is a very good start! Regards, Dak |

He is kind of humble and won't advertise himself, but he is located in Canada and deals in all these products--with his invaluable help on these forums, combined with ordering parts from him, you should have that 'Beast' on the dirt in no time!

If someone can tell me engine size I can purchase a complete harness with all electrics and snag a carb, now the carb is less important as most any will work if the ports are the correct size. Regards, Dak *EDIT* I'll poke around the block a bit more for more numbers... It's just -23C so I'm a bit shy about uncovering it. lol Last edited by Dakados; 01-07-2017 at 07:22 PM. Reason: *EDIT* |

I believe you Bruce but, on the 'inner-web' it says 125 -> 250
Above 175 is a different harness. Since everything on the web is written by everyone, you're likely 100% correct as a truly knowledgeable person. So, I should purchase the 200cc harness. Regards, Dak |

Culcune probably knows more about this vin stuff. I've seen some pretty good hat tricks around here on some obscure stuff.

I assumed you were searching elsewhere, from google I found it was an Asian racing quad. More recently a "Gio Beast" and now confirmed here. So, NOT an Asian racing quad, just an Asian quad. Anyways, like I said, when it warms slightly I'll look for a block number. Thank you all again for poking around! Regards, Dak |
