Hey, Fl boy riding for MANY years Enduro thru Heritage Custom Softtail deluxe.
Just bought my son ( US ARMY Kuwait) a X pro hawk 250 Dlx EFI. Want to make sure its good to go when he returns from sandbox. Am a Good Mechanic and want to do some of the mods I have read about, so am here to get the BEST Advise.
So with that in mind

Hello Jamie, I bet your son will be thrilled to get a brand new bike. Hope you both have fun with it, these bikes are pretty easy to work on and modify.

Appreciate it , I know its going to wow him! So other than the Valve lash adj and the tube and spoke strip replacement ARE there any other things I need to do putting this 2023 250 EFI bike together? I heard that I should replace the head gasket with a Honda TT250 thinner one and get a little more compression, and Locktight EVERYthing

What about the Sprocket/ chain He will learn to ride in the dirt but will also road ride not needing to go over 55MPH around here though.

There is not much on the EFI models specific NEEDS ! Thanks for any assistance or direction
