interested in upgrading the front forks.
I am looking into upgrading the front forks to something a little more japaneseish. Has anyone done any research into what forks will fit into an A.L tripleclamp?

I would think anything that is the same diameter as the stockers would be workable.

Ya, I was thinking that also. I discovered that KLR has a diameter of 88mm. I dont think my lifan has that size, "don't own any calipers yet".
However I did notice that the forks on my AL neck down going from bottom to top the lower triple clamp has a larger diameter than the upper triple clamp does.

I just went out and measured mine. If yours are inverted you need a bottom clamp of 51mm and top clamp is 47mm. BTW, the KLR can't possibly be 88 mm. That's 3 1/2 inches 8O .
