Air filter replacement

What effect will replacing my stock air-filter and box to a pod filter have on my bike? I kinda like tinkering with the EASY mods!

When I put the K&N filter(rc-1120+sock) on mine I just had to retune it a bit and it really didnt do a whole lot for the overall performance.
(I hear UNI's are a little better overall filter but I like K&N)

The stock air filter box is lousy (at least ours were) and can have leaks that would allow dirt to get in past the filter and into the engine.
(very VERY bad for performance )

My bike didnt really wake up until the air filter plus the exhaust switch and then it needed a major rejet to get it to run right again and now it really pulls great.I ride mostly offroad in deep sand but I like the deep sand.
(seems sand is all I can find around ST.helens/west branch area)

You won't see much for performance increase, but it will be a better filter. I suggest the UNI filter. I like foam better. If you drill out the muffler you may gain alittle more, but will probably need to jet the carb.

The pod filter/jet/and open up exhaust together will help the most.

I don't agree. I put a UNI POD 2 stage on mine and I noticed a huge difference. Idles much smoother, starts better, Definatley more power! I think cus mine originally ran rich + more air = more gooder.
Does that make sense?
I dunno
