I'm cheap and don't like paying much for "no title, does not run", but it looks to be in decent shape. I also don't know much about 2 strokes... What is the intended use of it? (for you, if you were to get it I mean)

Fix it, ride it around local trails and to work for a little while, sell it. Main concern would be getting a lost title.... I would not get it if it could not be titled.

Piston kits on eBay are in the $50 bracket.

Aside from your time, how can you lose? If you can't get a title for it, you could either sell it for the same cash or part it out.

That's what I'm thinking. Anyone know how fast this little bugger would go? My ride to work is up to 50-55 MPH, mostly level and about 6 miles.

Might be fun to tinker with. Top speed stock I would guess about 45. If you could find an expantion chamber for it, no tellin what top speed you could end up with.

Looks to be liquid cooled. I wonder if 70cc kits are available? I think it will be too slow for your commute.

I have a friend who bought one new when he was 16, and used it to go back and forth to school, and work.
He told me it would do an indicated 60 mph, tapped out, at 10,000 RPM.
He put a lot of mileage on it, and it was a good bike.
