$3900 would be a steal for 110mpg.

I think the lower end price was more like $3360! BUT that's before EPA and whatever taxes would be imposed on it. Can you imagine how much fun this would be if they could bring it in for anything near that price point?

Sounds like it will be pretty competitive with a new gas KLR. Still would be fun. I bet that it makes an even better tractor than the gas version too.

$3360 to $3920 was the price in India. After they shipped the bike here, added EPA fees, import fees, et cetera, the price would undoubtedly climb much higher. :( However, I still like the bike.

Just more bad information from HDT. We've been waiting for this bike for over 10 years. Still nothing.

That's actually really close to the gas spec's anyway... I think mine weighs close to 400 pounds wet and only puts out about 37 or 38 hp. Lol, they're not powerhouses by any stretch

Stock KLR power is pretty mild. I think the diesel should make up for it in torque to some extent. Plus the 100 MPG deal sounds good. I just like it because it's different, and undoubtably fun to ride.

I agree! Plus, you would get incredible range at 100 mpg with a 5 or 6 gallon fuel tank.... I like!

6.1 gallons at 100 MPG would be a heck of a range, wouldn't it. Also a guy could carry extra doesel a lot safer than gasoline.

Carry extra diesel? A 600-mile range isn't enough?!! 8O

Lol! I have a sneaking suspicion that it would sound a lot like this old Enfield diesel... I like it!
