vancouver fans
I apoligize to those that watched the actions of some ppl in vancouver after the game last night ....it does not reflect "all" canadians or vancouverites....this was a select group that started this and not the whole crowd....shamefull with a huge face palm.
I do hope that all that had their picture or were fillmed rioting are caught and made to pay the price.

Almost all of us, myself included know better. Vancouver is a grreat city, and one of the most civilized I've visited in the past. Unfortunatly it does not take may a-holes to cause a lot of harm in the media.
I don't follow sports at all, and I don't understand that kind of mentality at all. This is not to say this is typical of sports fanas because it clearly is not. Note also what some sports fans do here in the US. LA Oakland and Chicago being prime examples of miserable manners.

I remember one of the first sports riots I saw occur after a win was somewhere in Canada--then the trend spread like wildfire all over N America with craziness happening after winning...losing I kind of understand (just kidding
![]() I wonder if the rioting trend could spread to motorsports??? 8O

The people who were rioting in Vancouver are morons. Around the world people are having peaceful protests to fight for freedoms and human rights. In Vancouver they have a violent riot in the aftermath of a sporting event. The game was likely just an excuse for it though. They just wanted to act like morons. It would be different with justification. Heck it's not even like it was a close game that was lost on a close call.

Preliminary investigations indicate that a select few troublemakers came prepared to cause destruction. Apparently, they were packing gas masks and flammable materials. They've been linked to the trouble we had during the olympics.
There's also a Facebook page that is set up to help identify the bad guys. Finally, Facebook used for good! ![]()

Aye, that was a slap in the face for all of Canada, not just Vancouver. I really hope that the vandals and looters are brought to justice. I don't understand the mentality of people who go out with the intent of damaging others property and starting fights... One can only hope that the Darwin theory of natural selection weeds 'em out!

Jim, that was a poor attempt at an adaptation of an Oscar Leroy line about the Metric system.
