Viva vx200sn... Want street tires. Need help

so I have a viva vx200sn

Tires are junk. I've done lots of searching. There's not much on vivas. I've gone through the sticky for the 200gy. But I still haven't found my answer.

Now my tires are tube type tires
Front- 2.75-21
Rear- 4.10-18

I'm looking for more of a street tire. B/c I do zero off roading and I like the looks of enduros with street tires.

I found these Shinko dual sport tires which are 80% street.
http://www.bikebandit.com/tires-tube...otorcycle-tire

Now the rear definitely has an option for 4.10-18 tube type tires.

But they don't offer a tube type front for 21" rim.

And I'm having trouble finding a tube type street tire for 21 rim

I'd like matching tires. And don't really care for the vintage tires or knobby off road style.

Am I just stuck and outta luck on this one? Is there a smaller rim for the front that will fit? Do I even want a smaller rim in front? It would probably look weird.

I've never had a bike before and never bought tires for one. Complete newb. Please help.

I read that thread a few times. The 21in tires they talk about are tubeless tires. Mine are tube type. Can I run a tubeless tire on my rim? Or do I stil use a tube with the tubeless tire

He mentions tubes in his final post, I just didn't know if you could do that and if it was safe

Yes, you certainly can mount a tubeless tire over an inner tube. If you have a spoked wheel, you need an inner tube, unless you convert to the TuBliss system, et cetera.

So my last question would be, the 90/90-21 tire equals out to be 3-3.5 in wide tire right? Will that mount ok to a 2.75 rim and not be deformed?

You front tire might have a width of 2.75 inches, but the rim size of your front wheel is probably 1.60-21. The size is always inscribed on the rim. If your front rim is narrower than 1.60 inches, the 90/90-21 tire will not fit well. However, if your front rim is size 1.60-21, the 90/90-21 tire will fit.

Awesome! Thank you for clearing it up for me. I've built a damn big block, but tires for me is a whole other world. Especially bike tires. Thanks again!
