Idle mix stack up
So i cleaned out my pz27 carb on my 200gy, got it all back together, but when i put the idle mix scew back in, i only had the screw. So i put it in, 2 turns out
Now that it back on the motor and full of gas, a small drop forms on the mix screw. Most other carbs I’ve worked on has a small spring and rubber (?) washer. I may have blown it into another dimension with 150psi of air. Just to confirm. Its oring , spring, mix screw? Could this also cause hunting idle? The rubber carb mount is pretty cracked up, so that is more likely the issue there.

I agree with fixing the carb insulator/boot/intake before any further trouble shooting. That said, yes a leaking idle mixture screw could potentially cause a running issue. More importantly, a safety issue lol.

thanks dan. I pulled a spring, o-ring and washer from a 1980 -84 Yamaha xs 650 carb and went right in. no drips.
this is not my first rodeo with carbs. I always blow them out with hi pressure air. maybe not 150, but im sure that other dimension dosnt exist either, and if it does, its full of socks that don't match. Ill order a new boot.
