Cg250 transmission gear replacement?
I have a 250cc engine from my shark 250 Enduro that skips a little in first gear. Is there a tutorial video about how to replace the gear in it? I actually got a set of gaskets with the cylinder head I ordered so I thought I would just go ahead and try to get the gear and replace that too.

It might be the shifter that moves the gears on the driveshaft and countershaft, or the dogs that engage when moved into 1st gear position.
Replacing the gear(s) on the countershaft and/or crankshaft will be pretty low cost, but reassembling all of those can be tricky. Before you go down that road, you might consider getting a new engine. 98 Snake Eater found a couple of new engines at a bargain price. Once you have the swap done, you can take your time on the transmission repairs and possibly work on a modified engine. Just a thought. Maybe take apart the transmission, and then attempt to put it back together before buying anything... That way, you have no skin in the game when you make the decision as to whether to just find a replacement engine for under $400 or buy the worn out/damaged parts and reassemble (you will know the difference in cost).
