Zongshen 167 FM wiring harness

Good Day, Back to the Zongshen to XR 200 revival project. I purchased this wire harness of Amazon and was wondering if anyone has any experience with this particular harness?

I can get the motor to spin over, but have no spark. I found a video mentioning that he had to connect the wires that I have wrapped in duct tape, but based on tracing the wires, that looks to be the brake light switch leads. Which is odd, because if they are connected the starter will spin over via the push button start. Disconnected nothing happens.

The LH starter switch, headlight, turn signal connector wires, color codes seem to be off and the diagram that I got with the complete kit is sketchy at best and doesn't list all of the connectors or wires listed in that is on the harness. Anyone have a better wire harness alternative?

I bought a similar harness from Amazon for a 70cc ATV and a Honda Z50 clone that both used that extra 2-wire plug for the ignition key. That is probably the case with yours. By connecting to the lights...you are completing the circuit...which lets the starting circuit complete. As far as the "No Spark" problem, make sure you hook the wires coming out of the stator correctly to the control-module/wiring harness.

Another thing I remembered was both wiring harness's came with two 2-wire plugs, one was for the kill switch and the other was for the ignition, is it possible you need both of those hooked up? Because both, if not properly hooked up may cause a 'no spark' condition.

Edit: after thinking about it, if I left both of the 2-wire plugs disconnected, the ignition circuit would operate, and the bike would start, so I'm guessing that they both just ground the spark when they are used.

ATVs require you to activate either the front or the back brake to start. You're either going to have to set it up the same or bypass it with this harness.
