turn signal noise

Hi guys, fairly new user and this is the first time I have posted. I own a lifan gy200 I bought a couple of months ago. I am pretty sure its the gy-5 b/c it has the inverted forks and what not. But I have no super cool unfortunately. Any way I wanted to post to see if any one has figured out how to make the damn turn signals stop beeping. I am in a small town where people walk around a lot, and my beeping signals make like a location beaker so everyone in the immediate area looks at me. Can any one help?

I have a solution: use hand signal instead when there are folks around.

it seems people have been stuffing the beeper box with cotton or foam and taping over it with Tape. Take off you seat and right rear panel and you should see and hear the beeping box on the right side of the bike under the seat when the blinkers are turned on. fill that hole with foam or cotton and tape over it...Also I saw Video somewhere of a guy doing this mod to a Lifan 200 Street bike. I think it was on You Tube.

But then you can't turn your signal on when you are next to a garbage truck and freak out the car that's behind him at the stop light :P

I did the "stuff it with cotton mod" and it worked great.

I have ordered tires from www.americanmototire.com and been very happy. Prices are hard to beat and they ship fast.

Cool, hey katoranger.......do you know the size you have and possibly the model number. And I am also planning replaceing the rear sproket with about a 44 and I was hopeing to keep the 428 chain. Was there anything speical you had to do to get the tires to fit, and do you have the stock chain????

I have these tires on my bike.

http://www.americanmototire.com/cata...th=200_228_229

They only have one size in 21" front so I used it. No problems fitting.

The rear is stock size 4.10x18.

If you want pure street then you may want to look at these.

Reasonable price for pure street that will fit stock wheels.
http://www.americanmototire.com/cata...ath=33_155_157

The 110/90/18 or the 120/90/18 should fit on the back fine. I would get the 110.

The 90/100/21 for the front.

On the sprocket the 44T should work fine. I have ordered from Bruce @ Ejcyles. Look him up here and call him. He will ship them right out.

The results from the cdi stage 3 testing has been mixed at best. There might be other nifty thinks that you want to do with your hard earned cash. Of course the choise is yours.
