LG Spark Plug

Hey Y'all,

I was seeing brown burn marks on the outside of the spark plug (stock); so I changed it with a NGK DR8EA, as recommended on here. The thing is that the bike doesn't seem to have the same amount of pep as before the spark plug change. Also, the engine keeps stalling when it is cold. I never had that problem with the old plug. The brand of the old plug is LG. It is a D8TC. I guess cheap china bike prefer cheap china spark plugs.

Pop out the new plug and read the color. Did you gap it different, Snake.

I had to use the second plug option, in the sticky. I think I'm easy posted it. My plug was the less used one. I used the irridium plug. Some one in toronto told me I didn't need to use the irridium, too sporty????? But I and the bike liked it. I think I only changed it once and really didn't need to.

My brother once battled a similar problem for hours till I suggested he double-check the plug torque

After snugging them up a bit more, VOILA, problem solved.

It's worth a look.

make sure to put a dab of dielictric grease on the portion that attaches to the plugwire, and check that the plug has a solid connection to the wire. also check to make sure the plug was not cracked. cracked plugs will brown on the outside.

Double check the gap and that you plug wire has a good connection.

The plug wire may be bad too.
