Just got a hongdou gy200... and trying to assemble it.

The carb has a pipe coming out of the bottom, with no clip on the other end of it, and i can't find anywhere that it should go to. I can see another pipe which feeds from the fuel tank to the carb input, but i'm not sure on this pipe from the bottom of carb...

Anyway, looked up one one of the schematics posted on this site, and its quoted as oil overflow pipe. Has anyone got a better description please of what it is, and where its supposed to go.

It is a carb overflow tube. Route it down and behind the engine so it clears the bottom of the engine.

Don't be too proud, get someone to physically help you before the bike is not rideable.....

thanks for responses,
pretty much what i thought.. but had to ask as i kept imagining a pool of fuel forming underneath the bike...

bike is pretty much there, well the front wheel / handlebars / speedo etc is on, and ... assembly instructions would have been invaluable....
next step is rinse tank out.. fix headlight on and try starting the thing...

now for 2 other dumb questions:
headlight:
I read a report that they are pretty dim... is this true?... if so, can anyone recommend a good bulb to replace the 12v35w with. ie halogen.. or is it worth replacing the headlamp unit with something better?
Can i goto 55w bulbs instead or is the bikes supply unit not up to this power? If not, whats the suggested part to buy to enable this?

We had recently discussed the headlight issue. Member 'Catastrophix' from Sweden had mentioned putting in a stronger bulb. Search the threads for this discussion to get the exact story.
