X31 bent rear suspension

I bent the rear suspension on my X31. I am going to replace it but want to put something more quality in there. Does anyone know where I can find out what will fit? Everything seems to be model specific for the jap bikes. I just dont want to have to deal with the bent suspension again.

Welcome!

Can you start with some specs? I have an '88 CR125 swingarm, link and shock here, and I'd be happy to compare it for you. Start with the width of the swingarm at the pivot point, width at the axle mount and distance of the shock mount from the pivot point.

BTW, CR125 stuff is really beefy, even more so than my '96 XR250R.

Holy crap, were you jumping it or something? These bikes REALLY aren't made for that...

The shock is 15 inches from eye to eye. It has the round upper eye and the forked lower eye. The forked lower is an inch wide.

Yes I was jumping it. Thats is why I want to better quality shock. I was on an MX track.

15in mount to mount sounds rather large for a dirtbike shock..

go onto ebay or rockymountainatvmc.com, rocky mountain has live chat and they are very useful. ebay you just send a message to the seller asking for the measurment..

these china bikes and quads are made from expired patents from jap models..

Found one.

The shock is from a 1984 Cr125R. I had to cut off the top mount and weld a new wider one on. But it is an awesome shock.
