Just looked up my first ever post,

I was asking about 250cc enduros back in 2008. Someone mentioned how they would like to see a 450, then somebody else said it's coming. I checked the provided link and apparently, they were right. I have not heard of Asia Wing though.

Just thought it would be of some interest to somebody.

Thank you for informing us of the 450cc bikes, Brian! I like the LX450E; it has a claimed weight of 264 pounds. Even if the 264 pounds is dry weight, not curb weight, it's still a decent figure. I sent an email to Asiawing, asking if they have any dealers in the United States. I will let everyone know if I get a reply.

I like that it's oil cooled (vs. water), and you have a choice between carb and fuel rejection. That low slung pipe wouldn't survive on a DS or super moto platform.

Whoa! The LX450E has a specified seat height of 960mm (37.8 inches)! 8O My XR650L is very tall, and it has a seat height of 37-inches.

These bikes were discussed and supposed to come to the US. Some insiders in China via mychinamoto have seen them, and I remember someone owning one, but he is not a 'regular' there and haven't seen anything for over a year from him.

Someone just happened to mention asiawing on mychinamoto discussing the Spark 500.

They do have some videos on youtube, but I think they are a small operation, so it has been difficult getting a startup in China let alone the rest of the world.

Back in '04 or '05 (maybe earlier) they did bring in a 250cc dual sport to the US under the Odes brand, but it was a very very rare bike here. They had a 300cc sport tourer, too, but it was never seen or discussed here.

I used to correspond with the owner or head guy, but since his bikes never came to the US, and no plans seem to be in place to do so, I lost interest.

I do remember someone writing not nice things about them on mychinamoto due to supposed quality issues, but that was when the guy who owned one chimed in and said they were ok.
