If I recall, the Wildfire was the same bike as the Lifan LF200GY-2 model (I believe the OEM was Lifan because when Wildfire got into trouble with the EPA, Lifan was mentioned). A similar bike which might have been related to the Lifan (and by default, to your Wildfire) was the Hibird 200 dual-sport (but I forget the model name--it looked identical to the Lifan model). For all it's worth, you might want to contact American Lifan.

There are many posts with diagrams. Do a search for 'wire diagram' in advanced search. Only look in the dual sport section. I would start on the last page of the results and work backwards as you have an older bike. I did a search this way and got 8 pages to look through. Here is an example that might help you;

Culture and david3921 thanks a ton for The info . I did contact American Lifan and ran str8 into a brick wall . I was told they couldn't help me at all
I find it hard to believe that they can manufacture a motor and know nothing about wiring it to make it run . As far as the wiring diagram that david3921 helped me out with I'm not real confident that its the rt one but it looks like all the basics are ther and the color code matches . There are some components there that aren't on my bike so we will have to see how it works out . I need to find a picture host to use so that I can post a picture of the bike. I've nick named it Devil Child after all the trouble I've been thru with itand its I painted it on the tank with a red devils face . Lol . Thanks a ton guy's for taking the time to help out . |

I finally found a YouTube video where the guy explained things in simple terms and didn't go into so much detail that he bored you to death . After his video I went out and had the thing running in 2 hours without a wiring diagram . I still have to wire the lights but thats simple Simon compared to the last month or so . I rode it around the block and got to wind it up pretty good to fourth gear and it was rocking. Speedometer isn't hooked up yet so I dunno how fast it was going but it sure as hell felt good . Yehaaaaaaaa !!!!! Thanks guys . I gotta find the link for that video and I'm going to post it so that others can use it if needed .

That's fantastic! Glad to hear it's all coming together. That had to feel so good to hear it catch and run!
