Interesting, could you provide more detail on how this will provide funding for the quad with those of us who don't know?
Thanks

not a problem fellow rider.

.22 & 303 shells are made from brass and the base of "some" shotgun shells are also made from brass (some are steel with a thin coating of brass ...no good to us)

.22 shell casings do not need to have the primer removed as they are brass so it is just a matter of picking then up (money in the bag sort of speak)

303 shell casings have a steel primer that can be drilled out easily (little bit of work but not much)

shotgun shells that are brass need the plastic removed (easily done with a bit of heat and 2 pairs of pliers) and need the steel primers removed (again easy with a punch and small hammer)

can cash them in for $2.00 per pound and we all know that it doesn't take allot of brass to make a pound.

any .22 live rounds we find we are going to keep and a co-worker offered to take us out to "have some fun at someone else's expense (ppl dropping them)

You're safe... I picked up a gold pan in Barkerville so I'm going to look for another precious metal

I do my own reloading and also pick up brass when I find it. With that said I don't like people who litter, ESPECIALLY when it's a group such as shooters, or off road motorcycle riders, that I belong to.

I'm especially angered by shooters who deface public property, signs in particular.

Put a magnet to them. If they are attracted then they are steel. If not likely nickel plated brass (not too common in shotshells) or aluminum.

What bothers me are cigarette butts. I can not go anywhere and not find them. On my way to the grocery store... Work. Outside my apartment. At the beach. The campground.

Bugs me too. Smokers are another group who could live without the bad press of littering.

I especially like it when they throw a lit cigarette out the car window in the flammable desert in which I live. The most fun though is when you're behind them on a bike...

Thanks for disposing of your litter properly. Back to the original topic.

I don't know anything about shells, but I do strip the copper wiring from anything I can find. My truck is loaded with about 300lbs for garage door springs and 3 openings right now. Copper/aluminum to be salvage from them. The springs are just heavy steel.

The scrap metal paid for my truck.
