The engine looks like the typical Honda CG clone with balance shaft but can't be sure unless I can see the other side of the cylinder or the valve cover.

WMI https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicl...rer_identifier tells who's the maker
Model details maybe found by comparing VDS https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicl...riptor_section in some chinese sites. --- Stolen from clasf.co.za

Welcome!
I thought it might have been a CG as well, but it's an OHC engine. My guess is CB250.

Thanx for all the replies. The reason I want to know what bike its based on is I need Spark Plugs and Sprockets as well as a service manual. The bikes were discontinued and the manufacturer is useless . I will see if I can find out anything else but don't get your hopes up

Importer http://www.bigboyscooters.co.za/contact ≠ the REAL maker .

LX8 = www.xgjmotor.com
They called that 250 engine as CBB250 (165FMM) in their website | Zongshen maybe the REAL engine supplier http://zsengine.com/Product/ProductInfo.aspx?ID=222 http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=15590461619

I've compared the CB250 with the Honda XR200, and they look very much the same, until you start measuring. They have a virtually identical layout, with similar cam chains, etc, but the CB250 is a larger frame of architecture. It can be bored and stroked to a larger displacement than the XR200 style.
I'm pretty sure that they use the same plug. You can remove your existing sprockets and measure them for comparison. I suspect you'll find exactly what you need at www.jtsprockets.com

Thanx guys it really helps me a lot. Got hold of the manufacturers and they can supply me with the back one and the front is easy to get ahold of. Another thing I wanted to ask is if you guys think its worth it to do a carb swap from the 30mm keihin I have to the 30mm Mikuni? Looking to do a airfilter and pipe mod on the bike.

Depends on each case .If the stock is a REAL keihin , why change to some ??? clones.
Weldangrind recommends Mikuni (clones ???) because it's easier to buy jets in N America . He once had a Taiwanese brand (Shengwey) that don't employs std Kiehin needle...

It was either Shengwey or Jing Ke; I can't remember.
HB is right. I recommend the Mikuni in NA, because jets are so easy to find. I like to mess with intake and exhaust mods, so having access to slow jets is important to me.
