I have a 52 8n too. Have had it 20 years and use it mainly in the fall to drag wood up to the house. It will last longer than I will! Have a rear bucket, 8 ft blade, and a single blade plow. The bucket you dig under a log then chain it in and lift the end up and head for the house.

It belongs to my boss. He is moving out of state and won't be needing it anymore. I have worked on it for the past few years so I know it pretty well.

Awesome find! My neighbor has a nice 8n that he'll never part with.

Mechanically yes with some upgrades in certain areas. It runs and operates right now.

I want to convert to 12v so that I can run better lights and my electric sprayer. The lift cylinder will be updated with newer parts. Replace axle seals and brakes.

It is pretty much solid mechanically. Cosmetics are a challenge.

Value really depends and location and condition. Around here there are alot of older tractors. Many of them with features that this does not have.

Most 8Ns that run with be at least a $1000. Nice ones go for about $2500 and restored about $3500-5000. This one has all new tires and new rear rims. That is a $1000 worth of work done. I will probably never have to replace them. Front tires are not correct, but what was available.

Tractor comes with the mower, a platform lift, homemade blade, 2 bottom dearborn plow, and a cultivator.

I purchased this one for $1600. It will hold that value forever.

That's what they're going for in rural NE Texas, too.

The 8n was on my shortlist when it came to getting a utility tractor. I ended up with with a small diesel Kubota with about the same capabilities as teh 8n. It's nowhere near as pretty as the old Fords, though.

I would give her so much love! That's the perfect old tractor, IMHO.

First step will be to pick up the implements on one trailer and the load the tractor onto the big trailer. Will take me two trips to get it all home. I could drive it, but its 25 miles away. Would take about 2 hours.

The first thing I want to do it fix the hydraulics so that it will lift all the way and hold. Right now it leaks down and when you press the clutch in the hydraulics lose pressure. Pushing the clutch in stops the pump.

So, the pump is not driven off of the crankshaft belt right now. How is it driven?

It runs off the output shaft of the transmission and is located in the hydraulic reservoir between the transmission and axle.

This is referred to as non-live hydraulics. Same with the PTO. It only operates with the clutch out. Some tractors have a two stage clutch that will allow you to stop the tractor, but keep the PTO spinning.
