Apollo 250cc parts?
There is an Apollo 250cc for sale on the local craigslist that has some damage, I think the model is agb-36. According to the seller it needs an exhaust and some Plastics. From the pics I can see a missing muffler and a missing side cover and broken rear fender. I looked all over the internet today and couldn't a parts breakdown. Where do you get service and replacement parts for these? I'm not going to make an offer on it without knowing where to get parts, even eBay was pretty silent on the Apollo 250s.
Thanks. |

Is it a titled bike? That's a bigger concern than parts.
You can probably delete the side cover; others have. Fenders are generic, and universal fenders can be fitted. If the header / midpipe is there, an aftermarket muffler can be clamped on. Don't bother searching for a brand name. Keep your eBay searches generic, like "dirt bike fender". What kind of price was the seller asking?

The sellers says they have the original paper work, whatever that means. I'm in PA where where titleing a dirt bike is difficult, and generally not needed. It will be used on private land anyway. I'd be OK with a bill of sale, same as I do with pitbikes.
What I'm concerned about is getting parts that aren't generic (like controls). I know once the engine is ID'd I can look up engine parts that way, but what about stuff like fork seals and chassis parts specific to this model? Edit: Rats! I just went and rechecked the listing to see if I missed any valuable details, and its gone. My questions are still valid though, I've seen these come up regularly, and wouldn't mind having one. Controls certainly are generic. After you search enough on eBay, you're likely to find an exact match. If not, there will be a suitable substitute. I bought a TW200 that was missing all of the controls, and I substituted China parts, and built a custom harness.
Fork seals are not difficult, since they can be matched either with seals from a bearing shop or with seals from a "big four" brand. That only requires careful measurement. Not sure what you mean by chassis parts. A rear shock can certainly be replaced with another brand, as long as the dimensions are the same. The seat can be recovered with some quality UV-resistant vinyl, a staple gun and some time. If the frame develops a crack, buy a small MIG welder and learn how to use it. Really, there isn't much that you can't overcome.

Hi
I have an Apollo AGB 30 Dirt bike I have been able to replace a lot of parts from similar Chinese bikes. They all seem to get them from the same parts bin. There is a good number of pit bke dealers in UK with plenty of similar parts available but you won't get any frame parts I guess. I can get a fuel tank from France (I live in UK) but difficult to get a rearmud guard. Bike has a Zongshen ZS167LMM engine and plenty of parts are available. You are not going to be able to go to local bike dealer and order parts for your bike. It's a matter of searching on internet for them. They are good bikes...a bit heavy well built. Have fun ! What I am getting at is I want to know if there is an online supplier that has a parts breakdown diagram and stocks the bike specific parts, stuff like the plastics especially, since this machine doesn't seem to be a clone of a mainstream dirt bike. I get what was being said about just going without the side covers, but I disagree. Also as someone that works on odd machinery for a living (industrial vehicles) I'm no stranger to going out and sourcing hard to find parts, looking up bearings by the dimensions, going to the hydraulic cylinder shop and trying to match seals, matching brake pads by pics and measurements, and that stuff eats giant amounts of time, I would happily pay a bit extra to not do that.
You can find online parts diagrams for nearly every mainstream manufacturers bike ever made, and even Baja branded China bikes. The Apollo seems like a much better machine than the Baja x250, and it's been sold longer and by more venders, so I'm a bit surprised that no vendors are providing this type of product support. (Or if they are they're keeping it a secret) |

Smart Deals Now is the name of the USA distributor. They are an Amazon.com based webstore. Search Amazon for the Apollo agb-36 and you will find all the information. Smart Deals Now says all the parts are available online.

Found a parts website for the Apollo 250cc
After much researching I finally came across this site https://www.powerdirtbikes.com/apollo-dirt-bike-parts. I haven't purchased anything from them yet but they have really good reviews from what I've seen. The parts say they are for the DB-36 but looking at the parts list it looks like the parts should also work for the AGB-36 model also. It also looks like you have to call to order the parts although you can buy all their bikes and atvs straight from their website which I find odd. Curious has anyone tried purchasing parts from them? I'm thinking about buying a clutch lever or something cheap just to try it out.
P.S. I actually just purchased the Apollo AGB-36 and am waiting for it to arrive. Can't wait for it to get here. Thanks and happy riding, Lager87 |
