Viper 150cc Valve adjustment
I did the valve adjustment and the manual said Intake: 0.02 - 0.03 and Exhaust: 0.03 - 0.05 I gaped the Intake 0.03 and Exhaust at 0.05
Some person told me I was wrong and should have put the gap at 0.02 and 0.04 Did I do it wrong anyone? Also, as I put on miles does the gap get bigger or smaller. I said smaller and was told WRONG! it gets bigger. The bike is a 1 kick start and runs great. |

In general terms, the gap gets smaller over time. That's not a rule, but it is typical. As the valve wears into the seat, it pushes the valve stem closer to the rocker tip, thereby making the gap smaller.
