TBR7, How much oil?
Been having a lot of difficulty finding how much oil this bike takes. I've seen reports anywhere from 1 quart to 1.6 quarts. I put 1 quart in, and its kinda hard to get an accurate read on the dipstick but it seems as if its almost perfect. Can anyone confirm which is the right amount?

1 Quart/ 1 Liter is correct for oil change in CB or CG engines.
Ignore models on most China bikes as they are just something they call it where you live, always compare by item visual or model of components etc. |

Another thing is when you take the oil out of an engine you can measure that as a starting point etc.

For a regular old oil change about a quart or a tiny bit more than a quart. If you split the cases and put the motor back together, then it is about 1.5ish.

To be honest, I changed the oil on my new TBR7 and used a full quart and I am absolutely on the high side of the dipstick.
In fact I am getting a little oil "spooge" out the bottom of black hose that runs out the bottom of the bike |

Yep. Drain it, clean the screen, dump in a quart and hit the road. Pretty simple.

One word to the wise on the TBR7 oil change, when you drain from the side larger bolt ( where the screen lives ) - careful when you tighten the bolt back down, there is an uber, uber cheap plastic gasket that I basically distorted, tore and shredded because I gorilla'd the hell out of that bolt upon tightening.
Wonder if there is a high quality metal gasket or better quality plastic. |
