More convenient thumb screw for seat and panels

I got tired of needing a tool to remove the seat and body panels and just switched them to thumb screws.

Picture of them installed:

Good plan! I wish my Hawk (abd by extension the Brozz, TBr7, all those) had a better seat attachment/removal process.

This is probably as good as we can hope for without a fully custom retrofit.

COOl!

I've been looking for an alternative, especially for the seat bolts.

Good find!

Hmm... I never quite got the point of tools-free fasteners on bicycles, for one.

Sure, they are convenient if you need to make adjustments on the road (e.g. the saddle) or remove the wheels in a pinch in the middle of the woods, or make disassembly/transportation easier, but IMO they are really meant for bikes that are otherwise going to spend their time in a garage/guarded area and only be taken out for recreation, never being parked on the streets unattended. Using such a bike for daily chores/city street use just invites thieves and junkies to grab anything that doesn't require tools.

OK, a motorcycle saddle is not the same as a bicycle's saddle or wheel, and someone determined to steal motorcycles or their parts probably already goes around with at least a 10mm socket, but you get my point.

Good point.

Just depends where you are, though! And hey - doesn't the new Brozz250 have an alarm system?? Problem solved!!
