Nice you are getting it sorted. I think from other threads I see that you race strictly parking lot asphalt. Do you really need rear brakes at all for that?
I find the front brakes really strong, like easily loft the rear wheel strong, but I guess I don't push it as hard as you... I get on my SV which has upgraded stainless lines and nice EBC HH pads, and the brakes feel weak. Could be the extra 100 lbs...
Suspension is definitely a weak point on these bikes, but I don't know that an R6 would be a good swap, it seems like the stroke would be too little. What weight oil do you have in the front end? I still need to change mine, just haven't got around to it yet. To be honest, I kind of like the squishy ride over the harsh roads that I commute.

I would love to see some race video if you ever get the chance...
