Oh you know it brother!
In fact, I am convinced there is a lot more ommph to be had out of the little 230. But, , , I do not want to do anything that will significantly reduce my mind boggling fuel mileage. Not even sure what jet is in this bike to start with, but I feel at 60MPH, going up 5 or so on the main along with a K&N air filter would make for a noticeable power gain. . . TODAYS MOD: . I got around to installing a windscreen today. The one I wanted to put on was smaller and darker. but the shape of it and the mounting arms supplied with it did not allow for anything remotely close to an easy install. Plus, like I said, the shape just did not look right. Soooooooooo, I look over in the floor and see my PGO windscreen that I ordered back in February to put on my then brand new Genuine Roughhouse50. The PGO screen was actually made for a first generation Genuine Blurr. I pulled it out of the bag, held it up to the Honda "VOLA!!!!" Looked dang near like it was made just for it. And it was sitting not even three feet away from the CRF since the day I brought it home! LOL Mark & drill 4 holes in the white plastic thingy above the headlight, stick 4 of 6x30 flanged head bolts in. Done. I did have to take the 2 allen screws holding the white headlight thingy out and pull it forward so my chunky fingers could get back there to start the bolts in. All in all start to finish was less than 30 min. Easy peazy. Best I remember, this windscreen cost's about $130 shipped. It had a " Genuine Scooter Company" decal at the bottom that I quickly removed, then noticed it was now easy to see "HONDA" from behind it! How cool. LOL As far as function goes, for doing it's intended job I would give it an A+. I DO need to make one little bracket that would run from the white headlight thingy back to the handlebars for better support at speeds above about 45 or so. Much over 45 and it flops around a bit from the wind. Not much, but noticeable.
