Paint Question

I used Krylon Fusion paint for painting my plastics sides and front cover. Great paint, but what happened was when I filled up my gas tank too much some spilled out the side and dripped down the plastic front plates and destroyed the paint.

Would anyone know a awesome quality paint that I can paint these plastic covers that already have TrimClad paint on it, or I can remove the paint if this will work better or keep it on. What paint would be good for this? Any tips
