How do I adjust the float and what am I looking for in terms of how it should be adjusted?
The pilot jet on the stock carb is a 20. Good luck finding a replacement jet, I don't think they exist. I'm still running the stock 20 pilot with no issues. As far as float adjustment, as Megadan stated just turn the carb upside-down and the seam in the float should run parallel with the flange. To adjust is just a matter of gently bending the tab that the float valve is attached to.
