Oil Cooler Temperature difference.

I installed an oil cooler on my Boom VIP. Its the kind that has the head plate. I mounted it to the bottom head bolts hanging slightly below the engine. Yesterday I measured the temperatures on the engine after 7 miles of city traffic with an ambient temperature of 78F, hitting a max of about 53 on the speedo. I put it in neutral and on while taking the measurements. The right side of the crankcase varied between 205-235F on the top and bottom respectively. The inlet of the oil cooler at the banjo fitting was 197 and the outlet was right around 173F. About a 23F difference.

Anyone got other experiences with this?
