Jonway YY150T-12 will not crank after trying to jumpstart

I tried to jump my sons scooter and all of a sudden it stopped cranking. Right away I tried to start it off the relay and it started. I am mechanically inclined and I am stumped on this one.. I am not getting power out of the starter switch but there is a ground.
I switched the starter switch with the horn switch to see if that would help and same thing.
And yes I am pressing the back brake to compete the circuit .
I know some might say it is a broken wire but at this point not sure where to begin looking ..
Any ideas on this and is there a way to bypass the switch.
Also the kill switch is off, just wondering if there is a fast fix for this ..
Again no power to the starter switch .
Thanks Again
This is based off a GY6
