Central NC noob questions

Been lurking and researching for awhile, hope some of you guys can help me with a few things. I'm a competent mechanic, but a brand new rider (I had a moped 30+ years ago, but im sure anything I knew is long forgotten). I think I've decided on the brozz, and will be placing my order soon. My questions are:

1. I've heard alot about carb adjustments and rejetting (less on the brozz than others) im in Central NC near the Durham / person county line, about 400 ft above sea level does anyone have jet size suggestions to start testing with?

2. Is anyone local to me that would like to meet and maybe show me some trails?
