Another Pitster Pro LXT 400 Review

Hello everyone! I too just bought a new Pitster 400 from http://shop.pitsterpro.com/2010lxt400dualsport.aspx. This is my third China bike and by far the snazziest. It arrived undamaged, it was packed, and secured, very well, much better than my Hensim which arrived with a big scratch on the crankcase cover and the crate all bent up.

Pros
1.Packed and Built solid with good welds and the whole frame is undercoated.
2. Speedometer attaches to wheel and measures in MPH and odometer reads Miles
3. 520 chain set up
4. Huge back tire, not as big as a TW200 but large.
5. Helmet lock
6. Tool bag with tools
7. The 6th gear! (I haven't gone over 55 yet but it sounds and feels like it should hit 80 or 90mph with ease.)
8. Liquid cooled
9. Suspension feels far superior to my lifanoid and my Hensim. Night and Day difference.
10. Hardly any vibration at all.
11. The brakes can stop on a dime.
12. Did I mention the 6th gear?
13. Easy to use chain tension guides

Cons

1. No tripometer.
2. Plastic Battery box
3. Feels quite a bit heavier than the others, not enormously heavy, but heavy.
4. No instructions.
5. Owners manual makes good kindling.
6. Seat is a little stiff.
7. Sits pretty tall, I'm 6' 1" and feel like if i was any shorter there would be a problem with the seat height.
8. Was a hole in fuel line directly after petcock. (easy fix)
9. One piece of plastic broke already when trying to remove right rear side panel to tighten muffler. (barely noticeable but still made my blood pressure rise)
10. Loose bolts, including muffler and gear selector as well as quite a few others.
11. No gas gauge.
12. No oil viewing window.
13. No engine oil or transmission oil capacity listed anywhere.
14. Had a few extra parts that I don't know where they go

15. Kickstand is a little too short which causes a gangster lean.

All in all I feel like it was well worth the money. It is a blast to ride and feels really durable.
Here is a link to my bucket of 64 pics or so of the building process.
