It may have been in the way I had the bird's nest of wires stuffed up under my headlight, but I just couldn't get enough slack on my speedo wires. If it's not just the camera angle ,it looks like yours is not under as much strain as mine would have been routed through the very bottom.. Do you use a Photo service like Imgur, or Photo Bucket when you post ?, Or do you use the direct method as in the sticky about posting pics ? I tried the direct method, and it says that the pictures exceed the size limit, or something similar to what I just said.

I use imgbb I upload the photo there and then get the bb [img] embed tags. I always resize my images to have a max width of 750px

Just a note for you guys.. i found that the connection points on the fork for the fork guard to clip against were in the wrong place when delivered. When i changed my fork oil and re-installed the fork legs i was able to turn each so that they oriented properly.

Are you referring to the white plastic brackets that the fork guard slides in to?
If so, I just loosened mine and adjusted them.

not to go too far off topic, but is your 428 X Ring chain a 130 link? I got a NICHE 130l 428 X-Ring and was not entirely sure if it was an exact fit or if i'd have to cut some links. I have the 17F 46R gearing.

Mine was a 128 link. You'll probably want to cut a link or 2 out so that you have more adjustment lines left. I cut 1 link out when i swapped the rear to a 42T

By the way, you'll love the chain.. especially if you had kept the stock chain long enough to have to adjust it almost daily, the new chain is a god-send as it stays in great shape and doesn't stretch anywhere near the frequency of the stocker. The only pain in the butt was attaching the master link clip over the little rubber o-rings, i wound up using a vice grip tightened lightly to get it on (didnt have the chain breaker tool at the time which would work even better to squeeze while putting the clip in place)

Well I just tried to gas up the bike and start it with no luck, then discovered gas was running right through the carb, also noticed my gas gage doesn't seem to be working, but I might not have enough gas in it, not sure, made a lot of progress but going to bed feeling defeated tonight...
EDIT* Had to adjust drain screw, then she started up and I tuned the carb. The defeat is victory now

I am not sure how much I added maybe a half a gallon, when I turn the pet cock on gas starts leaking from a hose at the bottom down by the skid plate. I assume its coming from the carb. I couldn't see much it was dark in my garage.

Him? Perhaps the screw on bowl isn’t tight and it’s draining. IIRC There’s only one hose running out of the carb and that’s the bowl .

Must be these carbs drain through a hose.
