bf250rtg upgrades

Hey has anyone done any upgrades or mods on this bike yet? Are there any cool things i can do it . At 231lbs it may need a counter wieght lol. Correction on the heading Venom Sportster Chopper

The engine as is will be enough power. Put some miles on it and let it break in. You will notice it will have more power after about 500-700 miles.

Look at the Dong Fang DF250RTG thread in the street section for lots of info on it. I now have owned two of them. I recommend that you leave it in stock condition. If it doesn't have enough power for you then you need to buy a motorcycle with more displacement aka more horsepower.

Barnone is your recommendation due to engine problems after mods? All bikes 650cc and under i have always changed the jets and sprocket to help ensure there is the most useable torque and top speed . I love finding that balance there. Most factory bikes come jetted ok but have always added more fuel and air to ensure a healthy engine. It is safer to have the most availability on that handgrip you can get. Seems like it would be even more important on a lighter bike.

Do what you want to your bikes. Some start modding their bikes and then blame the bikes when they have problems.

I didnt mean that in a smart ellic way lol!! I was seriously asking you did mods on yours did you have engine problems? Thats why i was asking and stating what i said.

I see after reading the terms it does void the warranty so yes definetly a risk in dealing with these companies lol. I think i will hold off the first year and check it out this is a new adventure to me lol

Speed/power mods? I am sure they are available. But your cost-effectiveness won't be all that great. To me, investing a substantial percentage of the price of the bike to gain a very few horsepower (around 2 is about the most I have ever seen reported) is not the best way to spend money. It's already been said -- if you must have more power and speed, get a bigger bike.

Is installing proper jetting now considered a "mod" rather than part of the proper assembly and tuning process?

It is on here lol . To me adding jets and a sprocket is just tuning to me . But I have gotten some silly replies lol .

And just to be on the honory side so far I have bought what I think will make the engine happier and last longer and I am 29 dollars deep. 1999 plus another 29 ain't bad so far. And I can almost guarantee ya I will get more than 2hp out that engine . No reason why 19 isn't achievable. But for now I'm just gonna be happy and ride the bike break it in and all that.

At least rejet carburetor, they come set very lean. And change oil before you start it for 1st time,and many times after,like 50 miles,100miles,then every 500 miles after that. ttNext chain and sprockets,then should be good. I went with a new exhaust and knobby tires. Happy Trails

Yes, be sure to clean the rotors real good with brake cleaner to remove the oily shipping film.
