Doesn't seem to be sticking. I can still rev it and it releases instantly. Throttle response is actually really nice - way better than before with all the hesitation and wandering idle. Just way too high.

You’re sure the slide isn’t in 180* off?
Would it even go back together that way? Lol

I thought they were "keyed" to only allow correct install? I thought I could only install it one way? I can unscrew that and take another look pretty easily though (I think there's room)...

They are keyed, but in a way that if you put it in incorrectly it won’t close all the way. I’m not sure that it could even go together if it was backwards.

I want to bump this thread because it was one of two I found while troubleshooting my problem recently. The throttle cable was just too short. Nibbi sells a longer 40.3“ cable and that worked great. Cable has room under the tank to curve gently away from the throttle without pinching.
