I couldn't wait until tomorrow

Sorry for the poor quality pic. It is looking northwest at the south end of San Francisco Bay from the Sierra Open Space Preserve ridge. Bike ran great, took it easy following the break-in plan. It handled very well in the twisties, I was pleasantly surprised. Met a guy named Alex on a Triumph Tiger 800 at the summit. He explained how he wanted a bigger bike, 1000cc or bigger because he likes to cruise at 90 mph. Good thing I don't!

Surf, the shipper called the day before so I only got a one day notice...but I had to reschedule for today since they did not receive it at their facility as expected, see my 4/9 post.

Thanks for posting the nice photo. We love to see photographs of the RX3 in its native habitat.

You could have told Alex that there's a Moto Guzzi Stelvio for sale by a friend of yours. The great thing about cruising at 90 is that you're not distracted by trivial stuff like scenery.

Congrats Rideabout! And thanks for sharing the great pic! The "new for 2016" orange color looks great! It's deeper AND UV resistant!

And as you've discovered, the bike is certainly nimble, especially considering the very upright (comfortable) seating position.

I just got THE CALL, bike to be delivered tomorrow! The most impressive part is that the bike was shipped on 4/8 with a projected delivery date of 4/19. Note that this delivery is coast to coast in the US...about 3,000 miles. I'm getting the bike about 6 days early! RoadRunner allows one to track the load from terminal to terminal across the country...pretty neat.

Good for you surf, you're going to have a blast with it! I just turned 150 miles (in two days!) and it just gets better. I went up and over the Santa Cruz mountains on Highway 9, spectacular day today and a fantastic road. The return trip was through Big Basin State Park. Hope to meet up with some of you soon
