bd125, Lil Duc, Grom Clone EGR Block Plate
Hello everyone,
Recently purchased a bd125-8 and going through the usual motions of replacing safety parts, gearing and am no onto the carb and removal of emissions. I have been doing searches for EGR, EGR Plate, EGR block etc, and seeing posts with people having a plate and gasket for this but no reference of where they found one that fits or if sourced intended for something else and made them work. Can anyone tell me is this is a plate block of kit and where I can get it or what parts I can get to block the EGR port on the head? Thank you, |

Most people make one just out of a small piece of mild steel, like the steel from the crate, drill two holes, put a gasket on it (usually homemade from a small piece of thin cardboard like a cereal box), and let 'er rip.
Get a thin piece of steel and a grinder, and shape until it fits. It's not something people usually buy due to the simple nature of the construction necessary. |

I did see those, just wasn't sure that fit whatever motor these are. Thank you. On that topic, is there a motor model number on these clone bikes (like GY6) I should be searching for rather than "Grom / SSR Clone (Part Name)"? Thank you |

The engine on that model is 154FMI-3 and if not that exact model then something very close to that.

I plugged the end of the tube with epoxy putty. Holding up, might upgrade later to a plate but the putty was an easy addition. https://mymotorcycleblog.com/boom-va...cc-grom-clone/

Thank you. Looking around not seeing definitive numbers on tappet adjustment. Do these also run at .004" Intake and .006" Exhaust?

I have mine at .004/.005 but you can run them from .002/.002 or .003/.005 , these little engines are forgiving

The booms are kinda a odd duck with a yx top end, Lifan bottom end, and a ssr 54x54 bore and stroke.

I'm rebuilding my transmission and adding the 141bbk to mine and I noticed the yx logo on the head. I thought it was a fake label haha
