Hello from Ohio
Hello there folks. New guy from Ohio here. I have been lurking for a while and have read so much good stuff here since i registered. So thanks to the mods and regular contributors.
I haven't ridden anything with less than 4 wheels in about 20 years. I had several bikes growing up. A Honda 250X 3 wheeler, a honda 125 and a can am 250. So It'll take a little retraining and practice but i am sure I'll be able to pick it up again fairly quickly, we are talking about riding a bike after all. Originally i was looking at 150CC scooters as this was strictly a way to make short trips and commute to work easier and cheaper. However when i discovered this place and learned a little more about these chinese bikes, i am now set on getting a dual sport. I live in a small town with plenty of of shopping and main roads to all the usual suspect retailers, and also plenty of country, back roads, parkland and likely trails to ride. I am interested in a hawk for the obvious reason of price but also because of the success stories and high regard the bike seems to be held in here. But I have no real answers on registration here in ohio and i don't think I'm willing to buy and hope so I am now thinking about a storm or Brozz (but as i understand it now, the brozz is running on short supply) because it seems the Bashan brand has no issues with registration. Any thoughts or suggestions on things I'm missing? Does anyone know if there are any dealerships in Ohio or western PA that i could buy from in person? brick and mortar china bike places seem like a unicorn at this point. Anyway thanks again for all of your insight. Great forum guys. |

Welcome to the forum. I far as I know there are no issues registering the Hawk in Ohio. If you want to play it safe you could get the Bashan Enforcer witch is basically the same as the Hawk with a couple of upgrades and is 49 state DOT approved. The Brozz seems to be out of stock everywhere.
