Switching to a uni filter ?
Has anyone pulled the air box out the 250cc Apollo and add a uni filter as a replacement ? If so how did it work for you. ?

Have you ever wondered why with the limited room on a motor bike they
go to such lengths to put a great big air box on.... It is not just to make it harder to find room for the other components.. why not put a oiled foam filter element in place of the standard filter and retain the air box.... ..

I *kinda* did. My ripoff Mikuni 30mm on my TBR7 came with a Uni look alike. I simply folded and zip-tied back the plastic air intake "pipe" from the carb side basically closing off the air box. Then I removed the upper "half" of the TBR7 side fairings to allow the Uni filter to breath. It sticks out a little buy I don't really notice it while riding.
