110cc xmotos exciter coil open?
Hello everyone.
I bought a 110cc xmoto pit bike four months ago. Now it won’t start. I removed the spark plug, made the body of the spark plug contact the chassis and started it, but no spark was present. I tested the coil with a multimeter and seems ok. I was looking to replace the cdi and coil together. But I decided to check out the exciter stator and this seems to be open. it turns out that the dc resistance measurement between ground and the black/red wire is OL or infinite. but dc resistance between ground and the trigger pin is fine 130 ohms. I attached an image that shows the two points that show an open coil! I am new to troubleshooting bike’s electrical systems. It is clear that one side of this coil is attached to the green ground wire. The other side is the black/red exciter Does anyone have this type of stator? can someone help Last edited by Ruviol; 12-27-2020 at 07:25 PM. Reason: None |

I don't have any answer other than replace it an see if it fixes it BUT, I gotta admit the x-ray pics of it are really cool! Lol
