Exclamation New Hawk 250 Wont Shut Off

Does anyone have an idea why my new Hawk 250 wont shut off the engine when I turn off the ignition or hit the kill switch? It just keeps running after I turn it off or hit the kill switch and I stall it out and can still start it with the kick start when the ignition is off. Any help would be appreciated.

Suspect bad ground, here's a thread with wiring diagram you can see how the kill and ignition switch interact:

Definitely a grounding issue. From the way you're describing it, I would guess it's downstream from the ignition switch, and not between the ignition switch and the kill switch. You'll have to check everything out one wire section at a time.

Because you said your bike is new, any chance the kill switch isn't plugged in or not plugged all the way? This would cause the ground problem. My thoughts!

Found the problem. Thanks for the wiring diagram. It was a wire not plugged into the CDI.
