Roketa 50cc Type 158 from Superior Powersports
Hi all,
I have been looking for a geared 50cc bike to register as a moped, instead of a scooter with a CVT. It looks like this would fit the bill for me. Two questions: https://www.superiorpowersports.com/...rk50mc-158.htm 1. Is Superior Powersports legitimate? Seems like there are mixed reviews. The bike is also so cheap it gives me caution. 2. It's labeled as a Roketa 50cc Type 158, but in pictures, the graphics say Yamasaki YM50-8B. Googling it seems like there are reviews of similar bikes but not this particular model. What is the quality like? I understand it won't be the same as a Japanese bike, and will take some tinkering initially and over time to keep it running and properly adjusted. Thank you for the help and if this would be more appropriate in a different section, let me know please. |

Personally I'd say trust what your gut is telling you and stay away. No address on their website, just says they are in TX.
I suspect they are a drop-ship company, i.e. you order it then they order it. So if it isn't in stock where they order from..... Also, when you go the to specific brand pages, they do not show the bike you want. and they do not list Yamasaki as one of their brands. I have looked all over their website and can't find the bike you list, under Rocketa or Yamasaki, or any similar bike. Pics appear to be standard manufacturer brochure pics. They smell bad to me. Instead, get this: https://suzukicycles.com/sport-touri...x-s1000gt-plus

I had a Yamasaki YM50-E, 50cc 4 speed clutch, the same as the boom Vader, but 50cc.
It loved that bike, it was so much fun to learn on and ride around the neighborhood. I would look at Safer Wholesale. They are the only website I've seen with the Yamasaki or even a 50cc 4-speed. Look at Powersports Max as well Here is the one I used to have https://youtube.com/shorts/o-aa2vjks0Q?feature=share8
