Aren't those pyrometers? I thought that you were recommending an EGT sensor / readout.

an egt (exhaust gas temperture) gauge uses a pyrometer probe.
an o2 sensor detects air fuel ratios. wideband o2 sensors are very accurate but a couple hundred dollars. |

Exactly what I was thinking. The cost of a wide band O2 sensor is what has precluded me from buying one.
