@2LZ - I had the same thing happen - going down a steep hill to a stop close to my starting off point - happened a few times come to think of it. After my valve adjustment there was an improvement - but still will do it if I'm not careful to ensure I get the R's up a bit.

The "long downhill theory" is that the R's are pretty high on a long coast as I'm using a lot of engine braking as to not ride the brakes. Then when I pull in the clutch (approaching the stop sign) and the R's suddenly tank, the IAC is late on the uptake. Probably why it will restart right away like absolutely nothing is wrong. The IAC finally showed up on the scene. Just a theory. As I've stated in past threads, I'd like to here from our carbureted folks here and see if they have the same issue.

And this is why the problem never gets found out or fixed...
Nothing to see here folks, everything is normal with your stalling Chinese bike... just go back to riding your RX3 after you add this statement to the CSC owners manual... must have gotten lost somewhere in translation but I found it and here it is properly translated for you "To prevent stalling of the high quality Zongshen engine and to prevent problems with the Delphi EFI system - 1) Set valve clearances before every time you plan to ride your RX3. 2) Add Lucas Fuel Treatment to every tank of gas. 3) 'Blip' the throttle at least 2 or 3 times quickly every time you pull in the clutch lever and the RPMs begin to drop down below 3,000"

I do 2) every fill!
I really would love to rip the injection off and put a good carb on it. Engine modding would make a difference then, not being held captive by a map.

Solution of this stalling problem is to adjust valve clearences first then "reset" the engine by swithching on and off 5 times very quickly, feeling each time the fuel pump vibration. Wait 20 minutes after the switch is off on the fifth time. I believe your problem will disapear.

The real irritating part is that my wife's blue RX3 constantly runs perfect! :-O

How wide spread is this issue? This is more than a little concerning. I don't own an RX3, but if I did and my bike was doing this I would be more than a little upset. Has CSC come up with any theories on what is going on here?

It's not a regular deal. Just once in a while, usually in transition temps. I can take it out a bunch of times with no issues. Just something that happens sporadically that we can all chatter about. It's not like you're going down the road and it shuts off.

Not all bikes are affected? Since you suspect an ECU how hard is it to replace? What is the cost to replace it? Seems odd that a valve adjustment would make it quit stalling if it were an electrical gremlin.

I don't believe the ECU is "bad". I just think that due to the CARB regulations, they lean it out and the IAC doesn't react quickly enough on the rare occasion. One small throttle blip on downshift eliminates the issue.

That's why I got the 300cc kit. Hopefully I'll be able to keep up with Mrs. 2LZ blue one now!

I'm very interested in what this kit will do to the RX3. May get better mileage not working so hard. All of you who bought this kit will be interesting to hear your thoughts on performance , mileage , Ease of swap, highway power, etc. Looking forward to your road tests. Yah, Go team, rj

According to Spud's tutorial, you drop the motor.
Chonda didn't have to in his PP. If I do have to drop the motor, I'm painting the entire top end black. I always thought it was a little funny looking to have the black side cases with a sliver head sticking up. Besides, having the motor on the bench will be the easiest valve adjustment ever performed!
