Finally got the interior panel to fit. And tight and looks normal. Took a bit of work. Truck is officially done, except for a few moulding clips I just ordered today. Although, passenger door interior panel is missing some retaining parts. So, off to the junk yard I go this week!

Oh, and the new carpet, and the exterior moulding strip.

Tough to visualize without pics, but I think I followed what you were saying about the door panels. I need to tear into my Silverado on both sides, since the passenger power window labours badly and the driver power door lock has failed.

This is a picture of an F150 door, but, the red dots indicate where a hole has to be drilled in the Expedition door and, the circled areas are where things don't fit quite right. Bottom screw holes are also missing on the Expedition. Just FYI to anyone out there that is attempting this swap. It won't be plug and play.

Carpet install commences. Interior is completely out, and tomorrow will be the laying of the new carpet. Lots of holes and trimming to do... ugh.

And it never lays flat like you'd like. A little July sun should help.

Carpet is going in, slowly and carefully. A soldering gun makes an amazing tool to punch holes in carpet, btw. Perfect hole with no messy edges to catch when the bolt is screwed in. I saw that tip on the internet and turns out, it's a good one.

I did not cut the big square holes for all the seat bracketry. I bolted directly through the carpet. Tightened up fine and I think looks a lot better too.

You can see on the old carpet where someone probably tipped over a battery, and spilled acid. Metal underneath was a tiny bit rusty too, so I sanded and painted that little section. The bolts were broken off too, in that area.

Ewww, milk! One of the worst I have ever experienced was, my dad had a Chevette in Alaska and he let salmon juice get into the carpet on some fishing trip. Oh yeah, that thing stunk for seems like, years, whenever it got hot outside.

Truck has a 'shimmy' in it, at most speeds... I had the tires balanced and rotated on Friday, but is still there. Really can't be anything else but driveline related. I'm going to check driveshaft, u-joints, and transmission mount this week. Pretty much has got to be one of those things I think. I've also heard that if the emergency brake is dragging it can also cause a shimmy. I can see it/feel it in the seats and see the passenger headrest shake. Anyway, driving well but for this. Will report back!
