automatic transmission..
I do not know on th e larger atvs from TAO TAO.. but a lot of people have push started their auto clutch model... I did it once with a kids atv… surprised me.. that it started... one person with a 125 dune buggy with forward and reverse,... told me the starter when out and that is what they did to start it... too many times and he took the clutch out... but it started..

So, check out these Ebay studs...right size to work being an 8m 1.25 size and the part that goes a little further into the head. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F152292105577 My concern is the unthreaded part is 8mm...while the stock one is half that...I worry that is too wide. I can buy exhaust studs that are fully threaded at my local ace hardware...would that work? Also I can't find anything but nylon lock nuts...which I assume would just melt...would a lock washer or double nuts work?

Here is the hole left in my frame from the lower motor mount breaking. More damage than I thought. Time to weld on a brace.

I did end up using fully threaded studs from my local ace hardware. Exhaust with the new gasket is better than new.

Broken motor mount
Finally rigged up my broken motor mount. Welded a half piece of pipe to the part that attaches to the engine. Had to grind off lots of the piece to make it fits basically over the cross brace and I did not weld it to the cross brace so it could move a little rather than be solid mounted. I temporarily used hose clamps to hold it in place until I put in actual clamps.

I was just wondering if part 19 would work on this engine to get your air intake snorkle up some,it comes on the 170cc snowmobile engine that also has a pull start as well as electric start. It's a GY6 engine on partskit website as well as the GY6 bull engine, probably be a direct swap if anyone was needing a new motor that has pull starting.https://partskit.com/product/engine?m=110967 You'd have to watch your left foot and not get into the pull start pulley unless there is a cover with pull start in it. |

Been thinking about getting a Bull or a Raptor for about a month now, just wondering who to buy it from. Also been looking to just see what kind of parts are available.I thought about the Rhino but if you get stuck it's going to be rough trying to clutch it and work the gas while off the atv trying to push or pull.Thought about buying from Txpowersports since I can use my Amazon account and make monthly payments there,so that's where I'm at.

Pulled the trigger on the bull from Txpowersports. Was going to buy it from Q9powersports with Affirm financing but was told my 738 credit score was to low for full financing and would have to pay $700 down with the rest financed.I couldn't do that right at the moment so I went with option B which will cost a little more in interest but I'm okay with that.Affirm sent me a few emails wanting to know why I haven't completed my purchase.I sent them a email telling them I didn't have the $700 cash right at this moment.I just hope it goes thru and arrives in one piece.

I got a quart of 20W50 full synthetic I run in my v-twin motorcycle and was wondering if it would be alright to run in the Bull after regular oil break-in?
I think I'm going to go ahead and get a quart of Royal Purple 10W30 engine break-in oil. Can't hurt I don't reckon. Last edited by dugndeep; 08-10-2019 at 07:11 PM. |

I have been using Rotella 15w40 since it was new. I have about 28 hours on the ATV, and all seems good. I will admit that I drive it like it was stolen about 75% of the time. I also change the oil every few hours. The manual will have oil weight suggestions based on temp. Use this as a guide. Also, if you use to thick of an oil it may cause an issue with oil not properly lubricating the moving parts. Here where I am at temps are about 45-100 deg., but I usually wont run it to much when its in the 90s.
